Volunteers are critical to the success of the mission. A few key areas volunteers contribute are:
Volunteers that have the gifting and time to commit to serve are critical to our ministries in serving the needs of the incarcerated. Our Executive Director will help you assess if your gifting is right for this area of service.
Spanish speaking incarcerated may not be able to understand the message of the Gospel as delivered by English speakers. There is a significant number of Spanish speakers in the jail units so this role is key.
Areas of help needed include: Mentoring, tutoring, and providing transportation for residents.
Philemon House has the need for volunteers that have event experience or who are willing to work events and other assignments.
Join us and encourage the incarcerated through correspondence Bible studies.
Financial donors provide the necessary funding for us to fulfill our mission. Without donors it would be difficult to reach these needy and not often addressed men & women. We are exceedingly grateful for our donors and are always looking for others so the work can continue and expand. God willing and for His glory.
We covet your prayers. Prayer needs generally are:
That all we do is for His glory.
That our financial needs are met.
That we can clearly see where the Lord is leading us.
That those incarcerated hear the Word and respond to His grace, mercy, and that they believe.
That they accept Christ as their Savior, grow in sanctification and reflect the fruit of the Spirit.
That we reflect the character of Christ.
